What started as a photography project for Moncler art director Francesco Ragazzi, has turned over the past two years into a full blown lifestyle brand.
Titled “A Praise to Eternity,” the inaugural collection takes inspiration from the skaters of Venice Beach, California, and the intersection between the sport and its raw sensibility within fashion. "They wait for their turn under the palm trees and when the time comes, they fly in the brightness of that light that sculpts their silhouettes. For me, they are angels."
The range of unisex apparel includes both skate and preppy styles with pieces like 70′s-inflected blazers, biker jackets, button-down shirts, T-shirts and flared trousers that feature various graphics influenced by L.A.’s skate culture and Californian iconography.
Palm Angels captures the rugged grace of L.A. skate culture. "With Palm Angels, I want to take that classic piece your father has in his wardrobe and project it into the future." That is certainly a praise to eternity.
