Sonya Park’s Arts and Science establishments are great well curated stores to visit as well. Hoping to see the third volume, 202 to 301 soon.

Performance, masterminded by Donald Cammell and starring Mick Jagger, James Fox and Anita Pallenberg in a heady psychosexual brew of mixed identities, narcotics, sex, sadism, gangsters and reclusive rock stars. The film was infamous not just for its risque content, but for the intense psychic drama that the cast weathered. Some left the film with drug habits and psychological scars, while some, like Mick Jagger, emerged mostly unscathed. Marianne Faithfull: “In the same way that some actors get to keep their wardrobe, Mick came away from Performance with his character. This persona was so perfectly tailored to his needs that he’d never have to take it off again.”

Le Minor

Founded in Bretagne, France in 1936, Le Minor produces Basque shirts in a variety of colours every season very much like Saint James or Orcival. Tightly knitted with heavy duty cotton, they were favoured by the French Navy and Fishermen back then for it’s comfort, durability and wind resistance. Like denim, these shirts get better with repeated use. The patch worked stripe ones I received looks good and adds a very interesting twist to the classic Basque shirt style. (Thanks R.T!)

Moncler & Bruce Weber

A recent ad campaign beautifully shot by Bruce Weber for Moncler’s FW09 collection. Featuring his beloved Golden Retrievers in custom made Moncler downs.

Bruce Weber makes a guest apparance as well.

On the topic of Bruce’s retrievers, his film, A Letter to True released sometime back in 2004 offers a glimpse into the world of his retrievers and life. More serious undertones are also present like aiding Haitian refugees and how the September 11 attacks affected him as well as other sub-themes. This film does get a love/hate reaction from people sometimes.
