In 1971, The Rolling Stones were tax exiles in France, where Keith Richards had rented the villa Nellcôte. There, the Stones would drink, make merry and record Exile On Main Street in the mansion’s sweaty basement. Dominique Tarlé was on hand to document this historical moment in his pictures, which add volumes to the Stones’ mythology. You can see more of them here.
